The Kitchen Is Closed
Well, kind of anyway. I managed to get all the cookies I had orders for baked, frosted and shipped in a timely fashion. And now I am just anxiously waiting to hear if they all arrived today and in one piece!
I love my Kitchen Aid!
My trusty rolling pin.
And this awesome stacking rack for people with very little counter space, like me!
Next up, pictures of the finished products.

Cinco de Mayo or lack thereof
I think it would be great fun to have a party for Cinco de Mayo. You really can’t go wrong with Mexican food, margaritas and Coronas at our house. But alas, my Cinco de Mayo festivity is limited to providing paper plates for the 4th grade Spanish class.
BUT, if I was having a party, I would be making these for sure!
Here is the link to directions for the Corona Pops over on Bakers Royale. Check out the Strawberry Margarita Pops too! I love creative people :)

Cookie Catch Up
Someone left a comment the other day wondering where the pictures of the donut cookies were. I think that it was a nice way of that someone asking if I had any left cause Dad ate them all and didn’t share. :)
So in an attempt to play catch up before I bake again tomorrow, here are some cookies from recent events.
These music notes and treble clefs were from
Briee’s Senior Recital.
The donut cookies went in Dad’s Easter basket.
The dollar signs were for our last FPU class.
And the onsies for a baby shower.
Last one, I promise. Easter cookies.
On tomorrow’s agenda, cookies for grads, cookies for moms, cookies for selling your house and maybe a few others. Stay tuned!

For your evening laugh
What is Celibacy?
Celibacy can be a choice in life, or a condition imposed by circumstances.
While attending a Marriage Weekend, Frank and his wife Ann listened to the instructor declare, “It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other.”
He then addressed the men.
“Can you name and describe your wife's favorite flower?”
Frank leaned over, touched Ann’s arm gently, and whispered,
“Gold Medal-All-Purpose, Isn't it?”
And thus began Frank's life of celibacy.

A Virtual Baby Shower. How clever!
I think it was extra exciting for me because all the bloggers that contributed recipes are blogs that I frequent. And by frequent, I may mean multiple times a day:)
So here is the link to the rangoons over on My Baking Addiction and in it are the links to the rest of the "shower" recipes. If you read through it I am almost positive you will find some of the blogs and bloggers familiar and probably a few new ones to add to your list too!

Just what the doctor ordered.
One of my high school classmates has a little girl that will be having surgery soon and some people back in Iowa have arranged a bake sale and auction to raise some money for their family. My ears automatically perk up at the words "bake sale" so I was in for sure!
I knew right away what I wanted to make and so flowers and band aids were baked and decorated in hopes of bringing lots of smiles to the faces of the people who purchase them!
Check out the Rutter family blog here!
